Day Trip To Kasbah Ait Benhaddou Ouarzazate From Marrakech

After breakfast, your driver/guide will pick you up from your Marrakech hotel or riad to begin your day excursion to Ouarzazate and the Kasbah. On the way, we’ll cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass road, which is the highest route in all of North Africa. You get off the main route just after the crossing to go to Telouet, where we’ll stop to view the ancient Glaoui Kasbah, which for five centuries governed the flow of caravans carrying goods from sub-Saharan Africa to Marrakech.

We will go through the Onnila valley, with its adobe towns built at the base of the mountains, after seeing the site. After arriving at Kasbah ait Ben Haddou, we’ll stop for a traditional lunch in a nearby restaurant before beginning our tour of the UNESCO site, a fortified World Heritage village perched on a rocky bluff at the edge of a wadi that serves as a striking example of traditional pre-Saharan habitat and earthen architecture. Game of Thrones, Babel, Gladiator, and many more well-known films have been filmed in the area at this iconic location, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. the Tizi-n-Tichka route (2260 m), one of southern Morocco’s most beautiful major highways, with its adobe towns clinging to the slope and stunning reliefs in shifting hues.
